Senior Frontend Developer

Location: Chantilly, VA — Hybrid
Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
 

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to design, build, and maintain intuitive user interfaces that deliver exceptional user experiences and support enterprise application requirements.

The ideal candidate will translate designs and business requirements into scalable frontend solutions, develop reusable UI components, and ensure application performance, accessibility, and cross-platform compatibility. This role combines hands-on development with mentorship, process improvement, cross-team collaboration, and secure software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Translate business requirements and UX/UI designs into scalable, maintainable frontend solutions.
• Build reusable UI components and contribute to shared design systems and component libraries.
• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Optimize application performance, accessibility, and compatibility across browsers and devices.
• Apply secure coding practices and support automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, security teams, and stakeholders to deliver reliable enterprise applications.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and promote frontend development best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve development processes, code quality, and delivery efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant software development experience.
• Ability to support a hybrid work schedule in Chantilly, VA.
• Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or similar.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and responsive design principles.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.
• Experience with Git, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Required Technical Proficiency

• Front End Programming — P4, Expert
• Web Development — P4, Expert
• DevSecOps — P3, Advanced

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting cloud-native and containerized application environments.
• Knowledge of micro-frontend architectures and modern frontend development patterns.
• Experience with design systems and component libraries.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience applying DevSecOps practices to frontend development and delivery.
• Experience mentoring developers and leading frontend best-practice initiatives.
• Relevant certifications in web development, cloud platforms, or secure software development.
